Sports Trivia Questions - Boxing Trivia
Think you know boxing trivia? I’ve put together some sports trivia questions from the world of professional boxing that I think any boxing fan would be interested in.
The argument over who the greatest boxer is of all time will probably never be answered. First, are we be talking only about the heavyweight division? Are we talking about boxers or fighters? Some guys were just pure power. Fighters like Earnie Shavers, George Foreman and of course, Mike Tyson. I sometimes hear people say, "I'd get in the ring with them for that kind of money! I've certainly been beaten up for less money." I always reply, "Not like that, you haven't." It was Mike Tyson who coined the phrase, "Everybody has a plan until they get hit."
But back to who is the best. Would it be the fighter with the best record? (Rocky Marciano 49-0) How would you account for the different eras and how difficult the competition was in each? Do you take into consideration where certain fighters were in their respective careers when they fought other fighters?
For my money, it's hard to put anyone ahead of Muhammad Ali. In his prime, he had size and strength like most all other heavyweights, but he had movement and hand speed that has not been seen before or since in the heavyweight division. Who do you think was the best?
You may find some of these boxing trivia questions a little easier than some of the others, but I think you will find all of them to be challenging. Test yourself and see how you do.
Scoring:
10 correct – You won the world championship by knockout.
7-9 correct – You won the world championship by out-pointing your opponent.
